Chapter 3: The Burning Sands

As the ship arrives to the port many duelists are awakened by the gentle rocking of the ship as it proceeds to dock. Once again the intercom crackles as Professor Sartyr makes an announcement, "Good morning once more students! We have just now arrived at the desert and I have a few announcements to make. If you all would meet me at the ramp off the ship I will assign quadrants of the search to each appropriate team among a few other things!"

Jaden heads to the main area where Satyr was waiting and runs into his teammate Zayn.

Professor Sartyr nods. "If that is the Quadrant your team wants I'll write it down!"

Magileine, after finishing what the professor had to say, walks towards Solaris' room. Luckily, he actually found Solaris walking along the way to the ramp.

Magileine briefly explains everything to Solaris and tells him that he is going to find Ace next. He does mention that it's extremely important that Solaris picks a quadrant.

Afterwards, Magileine knocks on Ace's door. No response. He must still be sleeping. Magileine tears a page out of his book and writes a note about what is happening. He pushes a note through the bottom of the door.

After finishing what he set out to do, he goes back to meet up with the rest of his team at the ramp.

"Mmm, gift? I don't believe I've opened it yet thank you though. I'll write down that you and your team is taking Quadrant IV! Perhaps the Green Top would look better <3." Sartyr replies, smiling magnanimously.

Sartyr nods and grabs the duel disk gently before pulling a device out of his pocket and applying the changes to the duel disk. "Done, and done. There you go!" he states.

Professor Sartyr ponders quietly for a moment before replying, "You can leave anytime today if you want. If you do happen to run into trouble alert me via your duel disk and explain what is happening! And lastly don't forget you are one of the elites of our academy and as such are able to take care of yourself. My recommendation is to look for an Oasis or a Cave as it is unlikely the thief would hole up in the middle of the desert."

(just as magiliene suspected)

Solaris runs around the ship gathering his team, Ace, Magiliene, and Shark

Come on guys we leave as a team and finish as a team!

Magileine starts following Solaris around while we gather the rest of the team.

Magileine to Shark, since Shark hasn't moved from the ramp:

Shark, come with us to get Ace. We are going to need to like, break his door down or something. I think he's still sleeping. I left a note. There was no response.

Magileine thinks to himself, it's getting late. We're better off doing this in the morning. We couldn't find Ace anywhere.

Magileine to Solaris and Shark:

Let's just leave early in the morning tomorrow.

Magileine goes to his dorm nearby, and starts writing in his log.

"Day 2 - At the desert

Today was very uneventful. We got our instructions, our duel disks were upgrades to have a water fountain and radio. -- However, we didn't really get a chance to do anything today. We couldn't find Ace. I suggested we leave in the morning and just leave while it's still cool. It seemed my ideas were correct though, that we would be looking at Oasis' and Caves to find the criminals.

Our team decided to scout Quadrant 4. I don't think I heard what the other teams are doing. I hope they will be okay. I'm thinking it's a very long hike. "

Magileine goes to sleep after putting his log back in his bag.

Shark really upset he couldn't go adventuring into the desert for the god cards, decided to cool him self by going for a swim...and gets his swimming trunks and "KALLLLABUNNNGAA" jumps into the water with a huge splat...."OWWWW, that hurt, lol" and starts swimming around the port hoping to find anything interesting.

Magileine wakes up and does his daily morning hygienic routine.

He puts on his duel disk and bag, and leaves his room to look for his teammates. Along the way, he notices that Chancellor Sheppard is on the ship, and decides to talk to him.

Magileine to Chancellor Sheppard:

Holy Cow! Chancellor Sheppard! Good morning! How are you? Also, what are you doing here? We're 2 days away from the academy. Are you here to hunt the God Cards with us? What about the school? Who's running it right now?

Magileine in his head:

"Man, I must be hallucinating or something. Today was weird. I think I saw Chancellor Sheppard. He seemed really unresponsive towards me though."

Magileine proceeds to talk through his duel disk.
"Ace? Solaris? Shark? Where are you guys? We really should leave today, or at least sometime soon."

Magileine to Solaris:

We don't even need to find them. Tell them to meet up at a certain place and time from your duel disk. You got yours especially functional. Maybe mine isn't working. Yours should work fine though.
